Dear Reggie,
Today I ask you to pray for the people of Haiti.
Over the weekend, you may have seen news reports about protests in Haiti. These were in response to a proposed, drastic price increase on fuel by the Haitian government. While protests in Haiti are not unusual, these were more intense. Due to the protests, the fuel increase was postponed, but some protests continue.
Our staff on the ground in Haiti – both Haitian and US – are safe and are actively monitoring the situation. Our campuses at Grand Goave and Port-au-Prince are both calm and ministry continues.
In the coming days, we will keep you up to date on our Facebook page as we receive updates from the field. As we wait for further word from our staff, here are some specific prayer requests:
- Any unrest creates additional hardships for families in Haiti who are already struggling. Pray that the Haitian people will not suffer more hardships.
- Our staff on the ground in Haiti – both Haitian and US – are continually monitoring what’s happening. Pray for wisdom, guidance, and safety, as they keep us apprised of the situation.
- We are thankful that ministry is continuing in Haiti at our campuses! Pray that the ministry can continue uninterrupted.
We trust God and lean into His wisdom and guidance for the situation in Haiti.
Thank you for your prayers!
Serving with you,
Joel Augustus
