Bringing the World of Missions to YOU!

World Missions Headlines for September 28, 2016
Greetings!

Good morning. This email includes a summary of the world mission news for the week ending September 27 2016 on the missions network. This summary is a bit shorter due to travel schedules for several staff members as we visited among multiple supporting congregations. Discover the “God stories” beyond these headlines and pass them along to friends and others. We have included a convenient forwarding link below to make sharing simple.

Daily Headlines / Links….

Thankful!

“Wow, there isn’t as much news, stories, and video included in this weekly recap as normal.” We hope you will enjoy everything that IS included in today’s update. As mentioned in the greeting above, the staff of Mission Services was scattered in different directions this week. Two staff members were in Carmel, Indiana visiting with a supporting congregation during their Missions Emphasis Weekend. My wife and I were in Surfside Beach, South Carolina where I was preaching for a supporting congregation on their Missions Emphasis Weekend. We are thankful for the partnership of these congregations and so many others. We are also thankful for nearly 2000 miles of safe travel!

We are similarly grateful for the “4 E’s” by which we guide and evaluate the work done by Mission Services and through the missions network. For 7 decades, as we have shared the stories and help tell about the work of world missions, we have sought to accomplish these goals:
  • We Educate people about what God is doing
  • We Encourage those involved in world missions by standing with them & building a network of prayerful support
  • We Excite believers about the work of God
  • We help Enlist others in the task of world missions

One of the blessings we receive (and one of the ways we know the second “E” is accomplished), is the notes of thanks from missionaries & ministries. While on the road this week, we have had missionaries say “thanks” through Twitter, Facebook, text messages, and email. It has been a high privilege to share the stories of others for all these years. It has also been a privilege to have so many faithful individuals & congregations make this ministry possible. May all that is done bring glory to God and His Son Jesus!

Praying for more to be His,
