Have you heard of Andorra?

“Then the Lord put out his hand and touched my mouth. And the Lord said to me,
‘Behold, I have put my words in your mouth.
See, I have set you this day over nations and over kingdoms,
to pluck up and to break down,
to destroy and to overthrow,
to build and to plant.'” (Jeremiah 1:9-10 ESV)

Andorra, a little known nation is described by Wikipedia as:
“Officially the Principality of Andorra, also called the

Principality of the Valleys of Andorra, is a sovereign landlocked microstate in Southwestern Europe, located in the eastern Pyrenees mountains and bordered by Spain and France.

Andorra is the sixth-smallest nation of Europe, having an area of 468 km2 (181 sq mi) and a population of approximately 85,000. Its capital Andorra la Vella is the highest capital city in Europe, at an elevation of 1,023 metres (3,356 ft) above sea level. The official language is Catalan, although Spanish, Portuguese, and French are also commonly spoken.
Andorra’s tourism services an estimated 10.2 million visitors annually.”

Andorra is our nation of focused prayer from January 29 – February 4 as we pray for the nations. According to our friends and partners at Prayercast, Andorra is a nation where the vast majority of the population claims Christianity. Unfortunately, it serves more of a social purpose than one of faith, because the church has grown cold. The people need a fresh vision of the nature of God and the power of His Spirit to fill the people. The fact that it is a center of tourism makes Andorra a strategic land as a crossroads of the world population.

What most will not know, is there has been a consistent number of Andorran residents visiting the missions network for many months. Month after month, our tracking programs reveal several people spending time watching, reading, and listening to God’s stories from around the world. God heard the prayer of the people of His Kingdom with a vibrant faith, and God has allowed THIS ministry to have a part in encouraging them and exciting them! Though there are virtually no missionaries serving in Andorra, God is using the power of the Internet to be a source of blessing to those yearning for His presence – and we are humbled that God has allowed the missions network to be a part of His work there.

Sometimes, we do not know that God has set us in place to do His work. Sometimes, all we need to be is faithful, just a Jeremiah was when he was “one of the priests.” I want to thank all of our supporting individuals and congregations, because they made it possible for the people of Andorra to find God’s stories on our network. God, keep setting up your people to do your work.

Praying for more to be His,
