Dear friends and prayer partners,
Some of you will remember Lucy, one of the young women who have become like daughters to us and who lived with us for several years in Ibagué, Barranquilla and then Pereira. She went to help her mother who was in bad health about a month ago. Today her mother was rushed to the emergency room and had to be revived a couple of times. They sent her to a larger city where she was taken in for surgery due to a large growth insider her heart. She did not make it through the surgery.
As I write, Lucy’s husband Johny and Sheri are on the bus to travel to Ibagué from where they’ll be getting another bus to Neiva then yet another bus to Pitalito where the body will be taken for burial. Please pray with us for safety on their journey and that God grant His peace to Lucy and her brother and sister. Their mother was only 51 years old.
