Why you might have missed this summer

Steve Zimmerman has completed his time at Lake James as the resident missionary and being in contact with contacts in the mid-west. It’s been perhaps the most fruitful furlough ever for the mission’s work. Soon news about Steve’s field report will be posted on the website and Facebook. But so much has happened…. here are a few glimpses.

Camp Lake James Bible Drive

Campers donated Bibles all summer amounting to about 1,500 Bibles! Everyone was pitching in to help with the Bibles for Africa drive this summer as well as getting to know Steve and the work of the mission. Over 70 high schoolers have expressed an interest in doing mission work in Cape Town.

One last thing.

Patrick Gill, Kentwood’s minister, (Grand Rapids) is issuing a challenge to the churches round and about to gather the full 20,000 Bibles for the container! He has asked a network of church member to be ambassadors to gather 500-1000 Bibles each.
