IMPORTANT TRIP TO GHANA
I ask for your prayers as I travel to Ghana for two very important meetings. The first meeting takes place on September 2-4 when Enoch Nyador, Austin Ganyo and I discuss the new constitution and by-laws of the Restoration Christian Church with the officers of the organization. Pray that there will be understanding, peace, harmony and a good results from this meeting.
The second meeting is the annual board meeting of the Christian Leadership Training Institute. It takes place on September 14-15. Board members will be traveling from Liberia, Ivory Coast, Nigeria and America. We have some very serious decisions to make about the future of the Institute at this meeting.
NIGERIA
The annual prayer summit was held at Ekori on the night of June 20. It started at 9:00 PM and lasted until the sun came up. Over one thousand attended. Testimonies of God’s goodness and prayers for churches, leaders and Christian organizations both local and world-wide were offered throughout the night. One pregnant lady, who had walked about four miles to attend the summit, safely and, according to the report, painlessly gave birth to a baby boy during the meeting. A midwife who happened to be at the meeting took the mother and baby safely home. Another matter of praise is that the driver of a vehicle full of attendees fell asleep at the wheel on the way home but the passenger in the front seat saw the problem in time to rescue them from a head-on collision.
GHANA: Leadership Seminar for Ada area churches
Stephen Ofori and Eric Afful held a seminar on Christian love and Romans 12:2 for the churches in the Ada area. Discussions covered how to love God, family, church and the world. There must be “A total Transformation which comes to develop our Christian marriage, work and daily lives, because ‘whatever we do we have to do it as serving our Lord Jesus Christ.'”
PRAISE AND PRAYER REQUESTS
1. Thank God that the spinal cord stimulator is working well to reduce Bob’s back and sciatic nerve pain.
2. Thank God for the successful prayer summit in Nigeria and the successful birth at the summit.
3. Thank God that a fatal accident was avoided after the summit.
4. Ask God to bless the discussions that Enoch Nyador, Austin Ganyo and Bob have with the officers of the Restoration Christian Church on September 2-4.
5. Ask God to give safe travels to those who will be traveling from Nigeria, Liberia, Ivory Coast and America for the annual board meeting of the Christian Leadership Training Institute on September 14-15.
6. Ask God to give godly wisdom to the board members of the Institute as they make serious decisions about the future of the Institute.
