DECEMBER 2015

Hong Kong Christian Mission

IBCC China- Wing Wong

  • Praise God that Conita’s sister has accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior on this Thanksgiving eve.  She was dying with cancer, but now she is living with Christ!  Please pray for her as she is very weak but keeps smiling because of Jesus!  Pray for her family since none of them believe in Christ!  In case you wonder, Conita is my wife.
  • I still have one Gospel booklet to write and be printed before the end of this year.  This one targets the intellectuals in China.  Please pray!
  • Two of my Bible students and coworkers are applying to be full-time students at Boise Bible College.  They plan to return to China and continue full-time in our ministry after four years of training.  Please pray for the enrollment, passport and visa application process.  Thank you!

New Life Cambodian Christian Church

Rinn Sim- Lowell, MA

  • Please pray for Sam An’s grandmother who has moved to Danbury, CT.  Pray that as she moves to this new area she can find a church where she can continue to serve.
  • Please continue to pray for our multi-church gathering on Nov 29th.  It has been a great opportunity each year to meet and connect with other people from the community.
  • Our regional Cambodian church Thanksgiving celebration was held on Saturday, Nov 21st.  It was a great turn out with about 140 people attending.  This was a combined gathering of five churches.  It was such a blessing to see many people bring their families and about 35 people had never heard about Christ or Thanksgiving.  Pray for our ministry as we seek to followup with those who attended these events.
  • Pray for Soriya and Apreaya to be allowed by their parents to come to our Sunday school service.  Their family has been visiting for a couple of weeks now, but the girls really want to come to our church and also attend our Sunday school.  Pray that God will use their desire to motivate and encourage the rest of the family to come more.
  • Please pray during this holiday season for our church to reach out more to our community.
  • Pray for our home Bible study group gatherings.  Pray for wisdom and guidance in the conversations we have with those coming.  Pray that many will desire to have new faith in Christ.

New Hampshire Korean Christian Church

Eunho Moon – Bedford, NH

  • Thank God for moving our church toward supporting Compassion Ministries.  We currently have eight children under our support.  Pray for more families to commit to providing continued support to these children as they grow older.  May God bless these children as well as our church as we provide for them.
  • Pray for our missions team to be encouraged and challenged to take more action.  We want to do more service to provide for the needs of people in our area, such as Thanksgiving meals and other planned outreach opportunities.  Pray for wisdom and opportunity for our ministry team as we prepare to take more action to serve our community.
  • Pray for our College Student & Young Adult Ministry.  Pray for one of our newest students, Junghyun Hyun, who is still being introduced to Christ.  Yangwon is one of our adult women who’s spending one-on-one time with Junghyun each week reading the Bible.  Pray for God to use Yangwon to reveal His love to Junghyun and that her parents will be open to God’s love and be moved to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior.
  • Please pray for Ji Park and his wife Hanna Kim as they have been struggling with having a baby.  This has been a difficult time for them, so please pray for them to have hope and not have their faith shaken.
  • Keep praying for our adult members.  They have improved in uniting together as a church family.
  • Pray for Yong Lee, his wife Eunice, and his family.  Yong and Eunice are going through a lot of stress with their new jobs here since they moved from Colorado this past summer.  Pray for Hesan Yu and his job as well.  He’s been given a large project in leadership to work on for his company.  Pray that he will be wise in his workload, time management, and spiritual walk with the Lord during this busy time.  Pray for God to bring him success in his work and to work in showing the character of Jesus to his coworkers.
  • Pray for our youth to grow in their faith during this school year and to have opportunities to share life together while they are on break for the holidays.
  • Please continue to pray for Mr. Moon to have courageous teaching and preaching.  Pray for his ministry with our church to continue to prosper and grow.  Pray for his health with his eyes, as they have been giving him a lot of pain lately.
  • Praise God for giving Mr. Moon’s wife, Myoung Hui, a job!  She will begin training in January at a Mental Health Hospital in Concord, NH.  Thankfully another adult female member from our church also works at the hospital in a similar position.  Pray for the Moon family as she prepares for this new job.

Oasis Christian Church (Liberian)

Christic Marblow- Providence, RI

  • Thanks be to God for Oasis Christian Church and the miraculous work God is doing through members of the church.  Recently, some former members of the church have come back in response to the prayerful dedication of a few members who meet one hour every day to pray at the church.  As a result, lives have been changed and members are moving out to invite their friends and family members.  Please continue to pray with us so that God will empower these few believers to continue this activity.  Also, pray that God will encourage these people who have come back again to the church to stay.
  • Daniel is a 25-year-old African man who lives in Providence, Rhode Island.  He was very young when he came to the United States.  Presently, he lives with some friends and works for them.  He can’t find other work due to felonies on his record.  Blessedly, he is a handyman and works with some guys who repair and remodel homes.  At times he feels depressed, but he hopes that God will change his situation.  He said that he has tried many ways in his own strength to change his life, but it has not worked out for him.  As he boldly told me, “It is time for me to try your Jesus.”  Daniel accepted Christ and longs for Jesus to change his life.  I plan to meet with him once a week to study the Bible with him.  Please pray that he will grow in his new faith and experience the power of Jesus for himself.
  • Thank God for the Thanksgiving service held on November 29 at the church.  It was great and rewarding with 75 people in attendance, including children.  The service was followed with dinner, a short movie, and prayer.  Moreover, new visitors decided to start attending the church regularly.  Pray that God will strengthen us so that we will reach out and share Christ with these new friends.
  • Lastly, pray that God will use Oasis Christian Church to make a difference for Christ in South Providence.  Pray for our outreach plans to hand out flyers, tracts, and invitations to the people of South Providence.
