Dear fellow servants of Jesus the Christ,

Greetings from Coffee Country!
Since someone somewhere decided to name September 29 “National Coffee Day” it seems quite appropriate send our newsletter today!

Home Service Summary
The past four months have been busy.  🙂  Sheri and I traveled 17,500 miles through 15 states, slept in 32 different beds and had the blessing of sharing meals with a great number of our friends and supporters.  We weren’t able to catch up with everyone we wanted to, but were truly blessed to be able to share with as many as we did.

Last Month In The US
We started the month of September in San Diego with our son Timothy and his wife Paula.  As the month starts on my (Paul’s) birthday they made a special time of celebration for us including a chance to go deep sea fishing, a meal at a Brazilian restaurant and other treats.  Soon after my birthday we started heading north towards Washington, our last scheduled visit before heading back home.  On the way north we stopped in Roseburg and Salem where I was invited to preach (both churches) and visited with long time family friends.  Our time in Washington went too quickly as we weren’t able to catch up with all the family and friends we wanted to, but the time spent at Senior Camp was a real blessing as we shared about our work with people from many churches in Washington.  After speaking with one of our supporting churches on September 13 we started the long journey back to Missouri where we prepared for our return to Colombia.

Southward bound!
Our last few days in Missouri went by far to quickly as we spent time with family and got things packed for the journey “home”.  On Wednesday, September 23, we handed the car back to the family that loaned it to us (Thank you SO MUCH!) On Thursday, September 24, we were up before dawn, packed my  brother’s minivan with our luggage and headed to Tulsa to catch our first flight headed south.  The whole trip went smoothly, thank you for the prayer support! We arrived in Pereira on schedule and made it through immigration and customs to find three couples from the church here waiting for us.  We got the luggage loaded up and headed to the house where we found everything spic and span and a beautiful bouquet of flowers waiting for us!  We were in bed by 12:30 a.m..

Back at work
Friday, September 25, the couples’ ministry had a special outing to a local hot springs in the evening – and we were invited along.  What a blessing to see the ministry we started continuing on even in our absence.  We spent a relaxing time enjoying the hot springs and the company.  Sunday we were included in the program, giving devotionals and the Lord’s Supper meditation.

THANK YOU!
Sharing with many of you over the past few months has been a great blessing.  We’re saddened that we were unable to get to visit with everyone we wanted to, but rejoice in the knowledge that in Christ we are one in seeking the redemption of the lost.  THANK YOU to all who helped us along the way.  THANK YOU to all who opened their hearts and homes to us.  THANK YOU for making it possible for us to return to the ministry here in Colombia.  We look forward to sharing with you more about what the Lord is doing through our ministry here.

In Christ,

Paul and Sheri Moreland
