Solar Project Phase I – COMPLETE!

In a country where 80% of the homes still don’t have electricity, Haiti is a place where power – or lack thereof – can make a huge difference in life and ministry.

God finally opened doors for us to begin using solar power, and donors were generous to provide initial funds. Because this is such a large project – and because we cannot install solar power for the hospital until Phase II construction is complete – God made it possible for us to install solar in two smaller phases, rather than in one larger project. This Phase I solar system allows us to begin saving money now and begin providing more consistent power to part of our campus right away. Read more about the installation, the team effort it took, Phase II, and see photos: Solar Project Phase 1 Completed

Pray With Us

We trust in you, Lord; we say, “You are our God.” Our times are in your hands. (Ps. 31:14-15)

Above all, we desire to seek and follow God’s will for the ministry of HCO. We invite you to join us in that pursuit, that all we do and say will be pleasing to Him and point everyone to Jesus! Pray With Us – June 2018. Please join us and invite friends, churches, and mission teams to pray with you!

Medical Staff Transitions

Just as the physical structure of Peredo Community Hospital has been growing and changing, so too is our medical team, both in Haiti and the States. We are excited about how God is building an great group of medical providers to meet needs and provide excellent health care.

Please join us as we thank Dr. Gay for nearly six years of leadership as the Medical Director of Peredo Community Hospital and as we welcome not one but two new doctors to our staff! Also, help us welcome Megan Schreiber as our new part-time/volunteer Health Care Coordinator in the US! Meet them all in our blog: Medical Staff Transitions

Raising Rabbits

From the beginning, Marcus Corn, our Peredo Campus Manager, has had a vision for how HCO could empower families through raising rabbits for production. Already, God has provided an opportunity to explore how this type of outreach might bless the communities in SE Haiti.

Marcus, Renel, and Jimmy came back from the a recent training with 8 rabbits and a lot of enthusiasm for beginning a rabbit outreach in Peredo. Learn more about this new opportunity: Raising Rabbits
