This summer in Poland we have another opportunity to reach out to Ukrainian children in Ostróda. Last summer’s outreach was exceptional as we witnessed young lives being transformed and restored by the simple gospel message of Jesus Christ. Last year a US team from Brighton Christian, Brighton, Michigan came and served the children with Bible lessons, creative crafts and times of fun and laughter on the sports field and around the campfire. This year a US team from OceanPointe Christian, Middletown, Rhode Island is coming to serve for their very first time. Please pray for them.
2017 Ukrainian refugee children and counselors in Ostroda, Poland
PCM is seeking to bring up to 80 Ukrainian refugee children (target age 8-12 yr olds), counselors and translators from Ukraine for this week of Bible camp from June 16-23, 2018 to Ostroda, Poland. Each camper will cost $150 USD at the current exchange rate.
One of last year’s campers wrote this: “I still remember good food at camp and how I gained 2 kg in just 10 days. I remember making funny faces together with Sarah when we were on the bus coming back from the Baltic Sea. I remember how Dave taught me how to play baseball. I’m doing much better now. Also I won’t forget Jewish dances :), and Pasha’s role as the rabbi was like a bomb!!! I hope to have another opportunity to meet with all of you again. See you!!!” Ilya from Ukraine

“I would like to share a bit what we experienced a few months before getting an invitation to go to camp… Ilyusha had a dream to go for vacation somewhere where he hasn’t been yet: maybe the mountains or maybe somewhere abroad. We started praying. There was no answer (I think we didn’t pray enough and maybe didn’t put much faith in those prayers). However, starting on January 2017 Ilya began praying for his dream almost every day… and just in a week till his birthday he got a wonderful gift from God – invitation to go to camp!!!”
