I know it has been a while since I have posted anything. It seems that I am more interested in doing than writing about it, a problem with most missionaries.

Since my last post, we have completed a new MA-Intercultural Studies Master of Arts concentrating on Bible Translation. This new program design is specifically for translation specialists, the level of translation worker above the Mother Tongue translators of the specific field. In doing this, we equip students with a limited amount of linguistics, just what they need for translation work, the Bible that they need, and the intercultural studies core that they need to be successful in doing their job on the field.

PBTI will be using this online training to equip missionary recruits from Eastern Europe as we work with both the PBTI Area Director for the region, Tavriski Christian Institute, involved in a new sending organization from among Ukrainian churches, and students from Georgia, Ukraine, Tajikistan, and Kirgizstan. This program will also serve for a platform to train translation specialists in Indonesia, as we have talked about before.

We are moving ahead by leaps and bounds.
