The joy of anticipating their return to their home country is mixed with the grief of saying goodbye to co-workers and friends. Pray that God will sustain and comfort them.
Monday
Reentry is another time of mixed emotions, as the joy of reunions with family and friends blends with a sense of not fully belonging and, at times, homesickness for their host country. Pray that God will surround them with caring family and friends.
Tuesday
Cross-cultural personnel long to talk about their experiences with friends and ministry partners. Pray that God will provide the right people to listen to and truly hear their stories of challenge and victory.
Wednesday
Children often struggle to settle into a place that does not feel like home to them. Pray that God will smooth their transitions into their temporary home and comfort them when they intensely miss their host country.
Thursday
Visiting their prayer and financial partners is both invigorating and tiring. Pray that God will sustain and strengthen them.
Friday
Some personnel need to increase their financial partnerships before they can return to the field. Pray for God’s full provision of all that they need.
Saturday
Pray that home assignment will be a time of physical, spiritual, and emotional rest and renewal as our personnel prepare for their next term of cross-cultural ministry. |
