Sunday “My command is this: Love others as I have loved you.” (John 15:12) Pray that our personnel will love others as Jesus loves them, even when it is difficult to do so.
Monday “Be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed.” (1 Peter 1:13b) Pray that their lives will be characterized by self-control and hope.
Tuesday “I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.” (Psalm 4:8) Pray that those facing spiritual or physical threats will look to the Lord for protection and peace.
Wednesday “I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some.” (1 Corinthians 9:22b) Pray for cultural understanding and adaptability in proclaiming Christ so that others will be drawn to Him.
Thursday “You are the salt of the earth [and] the light of the world.” (from Matthew 5:13-16) Pray that they will live as salt and light among the people God has called them to serve.
Friday “So I very gladly spend for you everything I have and expend myself as well.” (2 Corinthians 12:15a) Pray that they will display servant attitudes, expending themselves in Christ’s name to meet people’s deepest needs. Saturday “May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.” (Psalm 19:14) Pray that their every word and thought will be pure and pleasing to God. |
