Sunday
The centerpiece of our strategy is the Vanuatu Institute for Scripture Translation and Application (VISTA), consisting of training modules plus village-based work. Pray that students from each of the four participating language groups will successfully complete the entire course.
Monday
These students have significant responsibilities in their home communities and churches that have prevented them from keeping up with their work. Pray for the staff to have wisdom in how to adjust the curriculum and assignments to help the students make the necessary progress.
Tuesday
Pray that God’s Word will impact people as students share the Scripture portions they have translated in their home communities.
Wednesday
Public transportation linking Vanuatu’s many islands is difficult and unreliable. Pray that God will provide a ship to facilitate student travel to and from each VISTA module.
Thursday
Deaths and serious illnesses of family members, severe weather, and lack of transportation have impacted staff and students at each of VISTA’s first three modules. Pray that God will enable future modules to proceed unhindered.
Friday
Two new families have recently joined our team here. Pray that they will excel in understanding the language and culture.
Saturday
Pray that the large and culturally diverse team we are asking God to build here will work together in God-honoring peace and unity.
