The influences of another religion combine with traditional animistic beliefs and a heritage of atheism to make this an area of extreme spiritual poverty. Pray that God’s transforming truth will pervade this region.
Monday
The people groups we serve have no known believers. Pray for opportunities to build trust necessary for communicating the Gospel. Pray for wisdom to focus on the right language development and other needs to pave the way for future translation.
Tuesday
Restrictions from national authorities are preventing publication of a set of five parables from Luke in two languages in which we work in partnership. Pray for wisdom to know the best path for publishing these Scriptures.
Wednesday
Our personnel are primarily young families who have undergone many transitions. Pray for protection, growth, and joy in their marriages and parenting. Pray that they will work together well as a unified field.
Thursday
Two families are preparing to move to a small town closer to the language communities they serve. Pray for favor to overcome obstacles and strengthen local relationships so they can move more deeply into their work.
Friday
Believers here face persecution, spiritual attack, and conflict with one another. Pray that they will unite to reach out to neighboring groups.
Saturday
Major spiritual strongholds include shame, fear, and desire for power. Pray for God’s honor, freedom, and love to come to this place. |
