Sunday “. . . set your minds on things above, not on earthly things” (Colossians 3:1, 2). Pray that they will have a Kingdom-focused perspective when facing challenges and disappointments.
Monday “You are the light of the world” (Matthew 5:14a). Pray that they will live in ways that shine the light of God’s truth among the people they serve.
Tuesday “Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him. . .” (Psalm 37:5). Pray that they will trust Him completely in all they plan and do.
Wednesday “The Eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms” (Deuteronomy 33:27). Pray that they will be aware of God’s strong, gentle, and loving presence whenever they feel fearful or insecure.
Thursday “Do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9). Pray that they will not allow disappointment in themselves and others to develop into discouragement. Pray that God’s presence will be a constant source of encouragement.
Friday “Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful” (Colossians 4:2). Pray that they will be devoted to praying and to watching for God’s answers. Pray that every word and action will reflect a spirit of gratitude. Saturday “Love one another” (John 13:34b). Pray that they will be known for the deep love they have for each other. Pray that unbelievers will be drawn to Christ as they see His love at work in the lives of His people. |
