The Ukraine Connection
Lately Linda and I have been working with the people of Tavriski Christian Institute, Kherson, Ukraine. Yes, even with a seeming war raging just to the east an hour or so, we are working to teach potential PBTI teammates how to engage in mission work alongside their counterparts from other countries. Along with Rondal Smith, PBTI’s area director, we helped discuss a PBTI like organization within the churches of the Ukraine to send their own missionaries as a part of translation teams to Eurasia.
With that backdrop work, we are translating our missions courses and teaming with TCI to offer degreed equipping to qualified nationals wanting to join the mission work across the areas most of us from the west cannot go. In the pictures below, we can see Valentine Sinye, Rondal Smith, Steve Whitmer, Linda Whitmer, and two organizational workers named Sergei, helping with the details.
