Victory Report

[scooter image]

I just wanted to share a victory with you today. This last week, Dean Pinney finished the negotiations for the SportRider Heavy Duty mobility rider for Lori (He did a good job, and “Frog” did a good job raising the funds so far). It is 550-lb. rated, heavy duty motor for the rough terrain, heavy duty battery, seat belt, et al. This morning I paid for it and it will be shipped to Ft. Worth, TX to Dean.  The only equipment left is for Herb IV to get her a Harley Davidson cycle helmet to wear as she rides the campus (LOL); this is basically for the campus. It can also be transported to Cd.Guatemala on trailer for her being able to go shopping for the first time in years; you girls may appreciate that. Also, if ever caught alone at the school, it is equipped to take her home and back in the rough terrain. Also to negotiate the streets of San Raymundo for business again the first time in years.

In our fund for this medical help for Lori we have $300.00 left and we need about $1,000 more for the transportation to Lori in Guatemala. Dean is supervising the transportation and will travel with it. As Dean is working in tandem with me in managing the operation in Guatemala, we have decided that due to the rapid growth and the management decisions that have to be made every week, we are going to take turns at going to Guatemala each year (no more 8 or 9 years between trips). This is Dean’s year to go. At Lori’s medical check-up, the Doctor said that the mobility chair IS THE BEST MEDICINE we can get for Lori.

Being able to get around all the classroom buildings will increase her ability to manage, teach and supervise; this will help her anxiety sleep problems at night.

If you can help with an extra gift, this is the time. Checks to NIMA at P O Box 15133, Las Cruces, NM 88004 or via PayPal® at missionoffaith.org.

Thanks.
