“Who is ready to build a chapel?”
A fundraiser sparked by Louie Murillo has led to $40,000 in the bank, ready to add a new chapel to Morning Glory’s campus.

One purpose, multiple uses

The new Chapel will be primarily a place for the students to worship and learn about God’s will for their lives, one of the foundational components of Morning Glory. However, this new building will give us a place to conduct meetings with parents, to train pastors, and other school events. We plan to equip the room with a projector, sound system, and lighting to provide a place for multi-media presentations and a more diverse worship experience.

The plans

The interior of the chapel will feature stadium seating to maximize visibility for both the speaker and the audience. This also allows us to add a computer lab and stores on the first floor so we don’t have to give up anything we currently use. Morning Glory is all about more bang for your buck!  We also want to cover the walls with a special coating to help with the acoustics for meetings and worship. The computer lab will be in a better place in the new building, where it can be closed in and cleaner. But some air conditioning units and more windows will be useful for better ventilation and lighting.

The location

We aren’t able to buy new land for the new building, so thanks to the practical design, all we need to do is relocate the workshop and temporarily move the stores.  The picture below shows the whole campus and where the chapel will be.
We are almost ready to break ground! The plan is that the new building will be ready to use in September, but there is still a long way to go! Some necessary modifications, such as the special coating for acoustics and sound system will be added after the building is complete. We want to be sure we take especially good care of the computer lab with proper ventilation and power connections. All $40K that has been raised is being invested in the building itself, so this budget doesn’t cover the extra modifications to turn this chapel into something really special. Some extra fundraising must be done, you can help now by clicking on the link below.

We want to pray for you!
This year, we take advantage of every school morning to read Scriptures and pray as a school. If you would like all 650+  of us to pray for you or a request you have, click on the picture above to send a message and allow us to lift you up to the Lord in prayer.
Praises! Obviously we are still awed by God’s incredible provision for the Chapel. we never even dreamed this was possible, and in six months, it became a reality.  We thank God for the people that are coming and asking questions about getting more involved with Morning Glory.
Prayers! Exams are taking place next week. Pray for the students as they demonstrate what they know. Pray for Lori, Tabi, and the service crew as we have around 200 Kingdom workers coming to serve the community next week and Morning Glory feeds them all!  Please continue praying for Jordi and Milton.
