Q- How many years have you been at Morning Glory?
F & D- Two years counting this one.
Q- What do you want to be when you are older?
F- I want to graduate from the University to be a professional architect.
D- I want to graduate from the University to be a professional engineer.
Q- What do you do in your free time?
F- Well, most of the time, I study music, pray, or play soccer.
D- I study music or I spend time with my family.
Q- What are the differences in Morning Glory and the other schools that you have been to?
F- Well, for me the school is more advanced than the others and [here] we can share with our friends from the US or other countries and the classes are very nice and every day they treat us well.
D- [Morning Glory] is more disciplined than others…..it’s more advanced in every sense: technology, teaching, we can share with Americans, and our teachers are better trained to give classes.
Q- What is your favorite class?
F & D- Math
Why do you work so hard to do things well? A lot of your peers are content doing nothing but you two always look for the best way to grow and improve things. Why?
F- Well, we don’t stay conforming with what we learned. Instead, we look and look for more things to learn. We don’t stay with what we have learned. We want to learn more and more so that the next level of education won’t be so difficult.
D- Because I want to be different than the rest, [I want to be] someone with a future and be able to socialize anywhere I am and I always look for new and productive things.
Q- How do you feel that Morning Glory is preparing you for your future?
F- Well, excellently. We feel good [here] and with the help of all of the teachers we can continue ahead and besides that, I like to spend time with the American friends…everything we are learning is going to help us in the future and Morning Glory is preparing us very well.
D- It’s a different institution from the rest. [They try] to prepare us for a better future. They worry about us. It’s a very good institution and I think they equip us very well for our future.
Q- Do you have some memory of what a teacher or staff member has said to motivate you?
F- Yes. A few teachers have told us that we shouldn’t stay with what we already know. Instead, we should search and search for something to study because it will help us with our futures. So we should study because its a priority to know a little bit about everything.
D- Professor Edgar told us that we shouldn’t conform and we should try to always look for something new and productive for our well-being. Because it’s good to know more things in life.
Q- What does Morning Glory represent for your lives?
F- Well, it has helped us reflect on God and that’s really important for me [because] without God, I’m not anything. And not only that but it has also shown us that life gives us certain opportunities so you have to live it very well. The school has brought unforgettable memories for my cousin and me. And every day I learn more about the school and all of the teachers and the director.
D- It was a total change in my life; spiritual just like intellectual because it has left a lot of teachings about life. They have taught me a lot of things that have helped me and I am sure those things will help me to be a better person in the future .
What else would you like to say about your time at Morning Glory?
F- It’s been the best school that we’ve been in. I am very grateful with all the teachers and staff. But especially Miss Rosario, Mrs. Lori, and Rob. They have supported me in everything and I am truly grateful to [them] for that. [They] always motivate me. I also want to tell you that the school is very good and has a lot of good things…..too many. But to me the school has represented tranquility, peace, and above all LOVE TO GOD. Thank you.
D- It has been a change for me because its a very good scholastic institution that has left me with very good teachings. The teachers are excellent and friendly and they always encourage us and they look for the well-being of all the students. The Americans are also very friendly and they come to give us talks about God and they have made me reflect on things many times.
