We are off to a great start! Despite big changes and a lot of preparations, the school year is going very smoothly. In fact, Director Lori Nij said on her facebook: “Funny fact: this year I felt least prepared and so not ready for school to start. I finally gave up worrying and decided it will be what it is. To my surprise it has been the calmest and least problematic school start ever. I need to learn and be reminded that God is in control not me. I love it when God shows me that my feeble efforts are enough.”  Today, we want to show you some facts and figures about Morning Glory in 2015 so you can get an idea of what God has given us this year.
In our 15th year of educating the community through relationships to cultivate Biblical Integrity, responsibility, and confidence in their lives and actions, God has blessed us with:

5 Directors

40 active Faculty and Staff

Over 320 combined years of teaching experience

4 Former MG students who are now MG teachers

15 Different courses (subjects)

6 Daily class periods

96 Pre-K students

348 Primary students

187 Secondary students

631 total students

17 years old – Age of oldest student

4 years old- Age of young(est) students

$32- Cost to educate one student for one month

195 Children sponsored (approx)

6 Buses (and one mini-bus)

185 School Days

185 days x 631 students = 116,735 opportunities

We are so excited to take hold of this great calling God has placed upon us.  We count on each and every one of you to physically and spiritually support us as we invest in the future of Guatemala and the world.

Praises! Thank God for a successful start to a new year! We praise God for healing for Chano and Reyna, who have both returned to work this week.  God is good and we are blessed to be at work in the ministry of reconciliation of all people to Him. We praise God that we found great teachers to cover the surge of students that enrolled last-minute.
Prayers! Pray for continued healing and protection for Marta and even Chano. Pray for Mary Beeks as she is scheduled to have surgery in  12 days. Pray that God will make himself known to these kids.  Pray that Lori, her father, and the rest of the MG leadership will have the wisdom and fortitude to guide this big project.
