I have SO much to share with you this month!
On July 8, we were having a blast with our friends at Six Flags (who gave us tickets!) when we found out that after a week on the market, we had a great renter for our house! Even better, she wanted to move in two days later. It made for a busy two days, but we were so glad to have the house rented and paying for itself.
On July 11, we moved from the International Linguistics Center trailer (where we had lived for 6 weeks while getting the house ready and rented) to our friends’ house. We are house sitting their dogs, cats, turtles, fish and guinea pig while they are gone. We got ourselves moved in and the trailer cleaned by 6 p.m. Whew!
On July 15, we had our very first day of homeschool! I really needed three of myself that day to help everyone get started, but it’s going really well overall. I am so happy with our choice and now I know I really can homeschool my kids overseas.
On July 20, we found our work permits were finally in the hands of our teammates. The next day they turned in our very last piece of paperwork to the Vanuatu government. Because of several upcoming holidays, we probably won’t get this final piece approved until mid to late August. Then we can buy plane tickets for September!!
On July 21, we got a great phone call saying that the rest of our start-up funds were being covered by a generous supporter!
And the most amazing part?
All of the above praises are direct results of your prayers and God’s goodness. Thank you! We could not do this without you!
Please continue to pray for us. Our whole family is out of sorts right now. So much is changing and it makes even small problems seem large. Pray for us to continue to spend time with the Father and be encouraging to each other.
