Our Golf Event was a HUGE success!
We had a great day for our first-ever Mission Journeys Golf Challenge on May 18, 2015. Over 70 people came out to golf or volunteer. We hope to have nearly $20,000 raised for the ministry when all is said and done!
Perhaps the biggest blessing of the day was the weather. The forecast called for rain and it looked like it was definitely headed our way the morning of the event. Our good friend Wayne B Smith blessed our event with an opening prayer in which he said,
“Lord, we’d rather it not rain…”.
We were blessed with nearly perfect golf weather – partly cloudy with temps in the 70s – for the nearly the entire day!
