MercyPartners South Sudan – November 17 2015 – Thankful!
Thankful
THANKFUL – for water that comes right into my kitchen and bathroom! I’m also thankful for my washing machine!THIS WEEK – Mercy Partners will begin boring well number 7 in a rural South Sudan village that desperately needs Safe water. Number 8 will go in December.
SUDAN—Mercy Partner’s PROJECT JACOB–Borehole ( Safe water well) location of operations has been moved from the village we initially announced to a different location. There have been a number of issues with securing a proper location in the former region of Rajaf. Earlier this year we approved a new location in Northern Bari since it is extremely underserved. The majority of the communities are overlooked due to their “closeness” to the capital Juba (north of Juba town by about 30-45 minutes). After we scheduled these 2 wells the area became destabilized. Now this week, we are hoping to begin the bore of #7 well and #8 well in another remote village.
PRAYER REQUEST –
• Pray for the well team’s protection.
• Pray for the receiving community to embrace the Gospel and ownership of these wells.
We would really like to rally our partners support for 2 more wells during the Christmas season. (they would go in sometime in 2016). Good reports from these two wells are essential to keep the Mercy flowing.
• Pray for our account and reporting to be smooth as conflict abounds and communication is less than ideal.
