MERCY PARTNERS®

Mercy Partners Book and workshop announced for International Conference On Missions  ( ICOM ) Oct 29 – Nov 1  2015

Back In November- Lookout published an article about Mercy Partners referenced an approach in mission strategy referred to as “ Bridge Missionaries”.  While foreign missionaries can bring change to a target culture, authenticity is conveyed by the native Christian.  “Bridge missionaries” span the gulf of culture by equally sharing evangelistic efforts with nationals and meeting opportunities of church growth with resources.

How “Bridge Missionaries” came about :
During ICOM’s reset tour, it was established that world dynamics have broken all former concepts on the approach of reaching the lost. Internet, social media and airline infrastructure have reduced distance in many ways.  Due to “Global shrinkage” Mercy Partners has been able to employ a relational system within the Sudan and other (normally) fly over countries which could be applied anywhere.

Emerging missions are capturing similar dynamics of Mercy Partners ability to team with indigenous Christians. Their work defies compartmentalization. A persistent idea of “missionaries” being the white colonist on a compound in the bush needs to be debunked. We will present new opportunities and techniques for minimal impact.

This past Friday, We publicly announced the publishing of our book “Bridge Missions” and  announced  ICOM will host a workshop led by Tom and Sandie.

PRAY – For divine appointments that we can encourage churches far and wide and equip missionaries to extend dignity to the people they reach with the Gospel.  PRAY – for the spiritual protection and success of this ministry
