ICOM maintains vertical focus

International Conference on Missions had been a spiritual boost for Tom and Sandie and Mercy Partners. ICOM’s focus “Vertical” urged prayer as the solution to all obstacles.

Last week we asked for prayer for the connections that God had prepared in advance of our arrival to Columbus Ohio. RESULTS : We had the opportunity to encourage several kingdom workers to enter the mission field. Many prayers were lifted and partnerships forged. Thomas and Helen joined in to provide relief manning the exhibit. Many old relationships were rekindled.

Tom sits on the continuation committee of ICOM and plans are full steam for the 2015 Conference in Richmond , Virginia. The administration at ICOM was in top form and we felt the impact of the 12 previous months of prayer as Gods presence was overwhelming.

Currently Tom and Sandie are finalizing annual reports as part of Mercy Partners annual accountability to the United State Government. Last year 89.9 cents of every dollar went directly to Mercy Partners projects.

Pray for Tom and Sandie and the board of Mercy Partners as they finalize the fiscal year and pray over the domestic and foreign direction of the mission in 2015. There are some wonderful opportunities that God is forging during the missions progression and we want to be in tune with Gods path and not our own.

This week Ethnic war continues in South Sudan as dry season has facilitated mobility of South Sudan Army ( still known as Sudanese Peoples Liberation Army) and rebel forces that are led by the former Vice President.

The Africa Report has published an article entitled “Killing their people softly in South Sudan” that sights both leaders as being indifferent to the suffering as they both stall peace efforts.

Pray for the leadership of South Sudan that they will yield to Gods will.
