This week LOOKOUT magazine published a featured article on Mercy Partners work. The article covered the formation, methodology and impact that the mission has made.The article announces the term “bridge” missionary to describe the approach that Mercy Partners has established. PRAISE : We are grateful for such coverage as it provides a venue for more Christians to understand our work in conflict zones and receive encouragement from Christian brothers and sisters throughout the world.
Last prayer update we shared a request to pray for our feeding program that had begun. Continue to lift this effort in prayer.
The previous week Tom taught on being a city on a Hill at a Lao’s Congregation in Detroit named ” City on a Hill”. Cross cultural ministry is not just confined to foreign turf but the mission field is the grass between our feet – Pray for our Lao’s family as they hew closer to the New Testament Church as revealed in God’s Word.
Saturday, this past week, the board of Mercy Partners met for an annual Board retreat. Much administration had been accomplished and plans have been established as we enter our 5th year.Pray for the staff and board as we continue to seek God’s direction in the mission.
This upcoming week we will be in Chatham, Virginia as Tom will speak at Sheva Church of Christ to provide a report and preach, and then provide the Keynote address at Camp Pitt. Pray for our cooperative efforts with Camp Pitt in Virginia as we seek to engage the Christian Community to increase their “ Glocal” impact ( Global + Local )
