Persecution and Parasites

Our work encouraging Christian’s in the Netherlands continued during a pivotal week. 4,200 Syrian Refugees have reached the country this week which tops the count to 25,000 refugees this year alone.
Sandie was diagnosed with MALARIA and remained in bed for  2 1/2 days. Tom traveled by bicycle for several services including a time that he shared the spiritual history of a city in the Netherland that overcame an Islamic Caliphate in Egypt in the 1200’s thus releasing Jerusalem.
The Netherlands is Post- Post Christian although it has many symbolic roots that reflect the virtues of Christianity.  The Church building ( pictured above ) has been vandalized by spray paint, upside-down crosses, broken windows and the door lock has been “ super glued” five times which required that locks be replaced. The preacher shared, “ We must continue to meet and not be intimidated, these people who have done this need Christ”.  The Church has intense interest in our methodology of “ Bridge Missions”  and with the continued influx of refugees we find that there is opportunity to mobilize.  Sandie continues to show improvement. She has completed the last round of medication.  She is alert, eating, and taking rest. It will take some time for her Red Blood Cells to recover fully – ( 2-3 weeks).

Pray for the persecuted Church in the Netherlands. Pray that they may endure all sorts of hardships while exhibiting the love of Christ.
Pray for Sandie’s continued health while on assignment. Pray that she can gain rest during travel and that her Red Blood Cell count continue to increase and the MALARIA parasite is dispelled from her body properly.
Pray for the Syrian Refugees, that they may be able to assimilate – in the Netherlands, but also in Germany, Turkey and the United States.
