Seeking the Great Doctor

Last Friday, September 18th, Steven was operated on to place an artificial skull and attach mounts. Steven has had much pain and swelling – Your continued prayers are needed to our Great Doctor in the name of Jesus.

Shortly after we broke news to you about Steven, Tom had contracted Malaria. We were able to request prayer via Facebook. Tom writes – “ I appreciate the prayers that you have lifted up. Because you have stood in the gap during my affliction, we were able to continue on assignment, missing 2 days only. We are grateful for the advanced missions medical training I received in spring 2014. While I have diagnosed and treated many others, I have learned it is a “different animal” to DX self. ( photo is of Sandie and I crossing an airfield in N. Africa while moving around with my ” yea, I’m sick as a dog and holding it together like a boss” look on my face ).

The treatment I had on hand could cover several strains of Malaria, and some of the effects equaled the ailment. Being depleted of Red Blood Cells, we are scaling back on the normal robust schedule. Since, I’ve begun Presumptive Anti relapse Therapy and over the course of a few weeks I will be at 100%

Because of your prayers , I praised God as I rose from the miry pit of parasites. Let me share with you a few things the Holy Spirit led me in at that moment.

• His Grace is more than sufficient. – We are to bask in it like a comforter.
• Release yourself, from yourself… This is what it first meant to die with Christ. ( Romans 6). We should also practice the art of reckoning ourselves ( counting ourselves ) dead to shortcomings.
• Release others – Those that have persecuted, showed contempt and jealousy – Have pity on them and pray for their restoration. – forgive their action of swinging the hammer, but own the dent, and then present it to Father for your own restoration.

Thank you brothers and sisters for traveling with Sandie and I, and thank you for the prayers you had lifted. Continue to pray as attacks are evident. – Love Tom
