Mercy Partners South Sudan – March 28 2017 – Focused Task
Focused Task
As an organization that comes alongside of local churches Mercy Partners faces vigorous spiritual battles. We stand to empower church leaders and workers while providing equality in resources so Christians in waring countries can serve each other and their community.
This week there has been an uptick of opposition, therefore we are requesting prayer for God’s will to be fulfilled and that He empower all of us to remain laser focused on our task — full of the energy that He will provide.
As you review the attached verse below, Ask the Holy Spirit how to pray for us. The passage is from Romans 5 3-5 taken from the Message translation.
There’s more to come: We continue to shout our praise even when we’re hemmed in with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us, and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next. In alert expectancy such as this, we’re never left feeling shortchanged. Quite the contrary—we can’t round up enough containers to hold everything God “generously pours into our lives” through the Holy Spirit! – Romans 5:3-5
