at the end of the rope

Hope floats for a few hours

Balloons with Arabic hopeful slogans of freedom float away on December 19th as a day of disobedience to oppressive laws fails to gain credible momentum in Sudan.

Groups of activists, actors, journalists, lawyers, teachers and pharmacists have taken to social media to offer support of a campaign backing a “sit-at-home” strike that would avoid the President’s “shoot to kill” orders that were issued to abolish protest.

After organizing the demonstration, Serious unrest began.

The government is determined to avoid any repetition of unrest and has rounded up several opposition leaders to prevent widespread protests. President Bashir vowed to crush any new anti-regime protests as his authorities did three years ago.

• Pray for the Arab world as many, many Christians are in communities that are making way for spiritual changes within their home nations.

• Pray for our work “ project Ananias” that empowers those that are bringing the truth of Gods word in the darkest of areas.
