Five years ago, the earthquake rumbled in Haiti.
Without warning, buildings crumbled and loved ones were buried. In mere seconds, life as they knew it became a distant memory. Children became orphans. Families were homeless and hungry. Sobs of despair filled the air, as the ground that shook with aftershocks.
Life looked hopeless.
But you changed that. Thousands of people – like you – stepped in to shine light into their darkest night. Hope poured in through prayers, donations, and offers to go be the hands and feet of Jesus. Because of you, life looks different in Haiti today:
- 700+ families now have a safe place to call home because you purchased a strong, secure home for them
- precious children who lost their parents now have a place to call home at the newly constructed Grand-Goave Children’s Home
- 14.8 million meals have been packed by tens of thousands of you in the US & Canada and distributed to the hungry in Haiti
- crumbling schools & churches were rebuilt and reconstructed through your donations
- 2,650 work team members traveled to Haiti to pour hope and life into the Haitian people
- thousands have come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior because of the ministries you’ve supported
You have left a legacy that lives on in thousands of Haitians who have experienced God’s love and hope because of your prayers and generosity. The women’s team, who are serving in Haiti now, continues to offer hope and encouragement to the Haitians, while across Haiti, memorial services and times of remembrance are being observed by those who survived. Even following such a devastating disaster, hope continues! Thank you!
