Life in Abundance – Sept 28 2015 – LIA September 2015 News and Events
LIA September News & Events
Greetings,
There is so much going on at LIA through the end of the year – events, trips, program developments and more. We are so grateful for the countless people who come alongside this ministry and make our work possible day-in and day-out.
We hope to connect with you at some point before year’s end. In the meantime, enjoy these opportunities to learn more about the people we serve and engage deeper with LIA.
Is there something else you want to hear more about? Send us a note.
Blessings, -The LIA Team
Celebrate: GMHC-Africa
The third annual GMHC-Africawas truly inspiring. Over 400 medical professionals and students from all over the Africa and the world gathered to share in God’s word and learn how to affect transformational development through health initiatives.
Take a moment to watch some of the highlights from this amazing time.
We’re looking forward to our sister conference, GMHC Kentucky, this November. Stay tuned for details about GMHC-Africa 2016!

Check out the latest issue of beyond relief and join LIA on a journey from Egypt to South Sudan to Kenya and see how we are working to mobilize the local Church to restore health, renew hope and inspire lasting transformation for the world’s most vulnerable families and children.
Since December 2013 South Sudan has been embroiled and yet another brutal civil war that has seen close to 2 million people displaced and tens of thousands killed.
But late last month South Sudan President Salva Kiir grudgingly singed a landmark peace deal that ended a 20-month-long civil war.
Though military leaders at higher levels are still moving forward with the implementation of the peace deal, the agreement is still very fragile. Let’s continue to stand with the church in South Sudan and pray that this peace may be a lasting peace.
