As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace – 1 Peter 4:10
Dear Prayer Partner,
Recently I attended a benefit breakfast held by LIA-Kenya in Nairobi. The speaker for the day was Dr. McMillan Kiiru, a man that has been a champion for LIA for some time and continues to ask the difficult questions of me and this ministry.
Dr. Kiiru was in fact the man who connected LIA with our first partner in the US many years ago. I was living in Pasadena, California with my family at the time and I was going through a season of seeking God to see which direction HE would want to lead this ministry. Then God brought Dr. Kiiru to my doorstep and he has walked with LIA since. Initially serving as a LIA International Board member, then serving on the Board of LIA-Kenya. Though he no longer holds a board position Dr. Kiiru continues to be a guardian of the mission and vision of LIA.
It’s amazing how God continues to remind me this really is a Kingdom work not accomplished by one’s own strength but with a Kingdom mentality of relying on one another to accomplish His work.
Walking with you and our partners is a gift from God and we’re so grateful. With each relationship being unique and serving its own role in this kingdom work, this next season we want to be good stewards of these relationships both individually and collectively.
So pray with us that over this new season, of depth of fruitfulness that God has called us too that we may diligently steward and honor the relationships God has brought our way so together we can be salt and light to the world.
In Christ, Florence
