Life in Abundance – July 31 2015 – We’re in this together!
We’re in this together!
As it is, there are many parts, yet one body. – 1 Corinthians 12:20
Greetings,
I would like to honor and deeply appreciate all the short term teams (STMs) that made the long trip over oceans and across continents to partner with LIA in our various countries to help us impact the people we serve. Together, we accomplish our mission.
I am compelled to highlight two teams;
Just recently we had a team fly down to Haiti to be a part of a Woman’s Conference. They had a great and impactful time and are already planning for another trip next year.
There was also the Teach To Transform Team, who made a trip to the front lines of the South Sudan conflict. They empowered the local churches to deal with the humanitarian crises caused by the civil war, addressing a very needy situation. This will have a long-standing impact.
These among many others joined the LIA country teams this year to serve as one. We have had medical teams, youth teams, prayer teams, training teams and site visit teams that have traveled to Africa and the Caribbean. I know God Our Father takes great pleasure in this.
As we look forward to the rest of the year please join me in prayer for each team we expect to receive by name. Pray that the Lord go before them as they prepare, travel and join our country teams and church partners to serve. Also pray for ease in planning as logistics go back and forth.

While all this is going on our country teams have also started planning for the STMs we expect to receive in 2016. Engaging with STMs is a key to LIA’s transformation development model. It allows us an opportunity to celebrate the impact the local church is having in their communities while giving our partners an opportunity to not only see but experience and encourage the local church. Join me in praying that God continues to keep us of one body and one mind as we continue to work together to impact communities across the nations.
