“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.” Matthew 5: 7-8
Greetings,
We are so thankful for your partnership in prayer. And that is why I feel the liberty to share a particularly sensitive request for prayer.
In the past few weeks, we received an invitation to return to a “closed country” (we show caution about divulging too much information as we speak in a such a “public” format as this, and I know you understand).
We began a very fruitful ministry in the young country years ago, but with a regime change, it pushed the church so far underground we were unable to directly impact and encourage the work. Just a few weeks ago, we learned that a door had reopened. Regulations were being miraculously relaxed, and a group of pastors has invited us to engage with them once again.
The irony is that this invitation comes at the time of year when our gift income is at its lowest. This is a season pattern that we anticipate and plan for. However, we did not have indication that this door would be opening.
Fortunately, one US-based church partner has been able to quickly respond and offer a matching gift to reignite the work in this country.
We have found that God always provides for His work. Never early, but always enough.
Would you pray with us that God prompts others to give to help us through this season and, if possible, respond to this incredible invitation?
I apologize for not being able to be more specific, but trust you understand. Thank you for joining me in upholding the ministry in prayer today.
In Christ,
Florence
