Praises
- Two MEET teams were able to see God’s work in Haiti last week. More work teams and deeper involvement from our churches continue to bless the people of Haiti and those in the U.S. through these short, introductory MEET trips. If you or your church would like to visit us on a trip to learn more about the ministry, please call our office (614-794-0108) and ask J.D. about MEET teams.
- The Christian Church Convention in Grand Goave will be August 21-24. This gathering of all of Lifeline’s churches is a tremendous blessing and inspiration. This year’s theme is “The Strength of Unity” (Matthew 18:19)
Honduras
- Carlos Cojon, Lifeline’s administrator in Honduras, will be in Ohio for two weeks in November to participate in ICOM (the International Conference of Missions) as well as visit with churches and friends.
- Elizabeth, who lives at the Omoa Children’s Home, ran in a 5K marathon and won 3rd place! Congratulations! (see photo)
United States
- Thank you to Ken & Julia Keener for opening their lake home to the Lifeline staff for a picnic. Everyone had a great time, especially the kids out on the lake!
- Erma, Lifeline’s Lovelink Coordinator, is retiring after 10 years of faithful service to Lifeline. We are really going to miss her around here! (see photo)
- Cindy Garland, author and Lifeline work team member, has released her latest book “How Do I Get Out of this Mess?” with a portion of each book purchase benefiting Lifeline. Learn more at Cindy’s website: www.livinglife4him.com.

Change in policy // Effective for the upcoming October 2014 Gift Deadline
It is time to make a change. Due to the ever-increasing cost of shipping and the difficulty we are having in “handling” large gift packages, we have to make a change in what we can accept from sponsors as gift packages.
In accordance with our 3 gift deadlines (February, July, and October), please read and make note of these changes:
NO LONGER PERMITTED:
- Buckets
- Oversized packages exceeding the dimensions PERMITTED below
PERMITTED:
- Shoe box sized gifts (cardboard, plastic or rubber-maid type)
- Not to exceed 14″ x 11″ x 6 ¼”
- Lifeline will accept multiple packages per child but no one package can exceed these dimensions
- Enclose $7 check (no cash) with each shoe box sized gift (shipping fee)
- Backpacks (with contents)
- Not to exceed 14″ x 11″ x 6 ¼”
- Lifeline will accept multiple backpacks
- Enclose $7 check (no cash) with each backpack (shipping fee)
NOTE:
- We now require 1 check per package
- Attach envelope with check enclosed to each Shoe Box sized gift
