Praises

Haiti

  • Two MEET teams were able to see God’s work in Haiti last week. More work teams and deeper involvement from our churches continue to bless the people of Haiti and those in the U.S. through these short, introductory MEET trips.  If you or your church would like to visit us on a trip to learn more about the ministry, please call our office (614-794-0108) and ask J.D. about MEET teams.
  • The Christian Church Convention in Grand Goave will be August 21-24.  This gathering of all of Lifeline’s churches is a tremendous blessing and inspiration.  This year’s theme is “The Strength of Unity” (Matthew 18:19)

Honduras

  • Carlos Cojon, Lifeline’s administrator in Honduras, will be in Ohio for two weeks in November to participate in ICOM (the International Conference of Missions) as well as visit with churches and friends.
  • Elizabeth, who lives at the Omoa Children’s Home, ran in a 5K marathon and won 3rd place!  Congratulations! (see photo)

United States
  • Thank you to Ken & Julia Keener for opening their lake home to the Lifeline staff for a picnic.  Everyone had a great time, especially the kids out on the lake!
  • Erma, Lifeline’s Lovelink Coordinator, is retiring after 10 years of faithful service to Lifeline.  We are really going to miss her around here! (see photo)
  • Cindy Garland, author and Lifeline work team member, has released her latest book “How Do I Get Out of this Mess?” with a portion of each book purchase benefiting Lifeline.  Learn more at Cindy’s website: www.livinglife4him.com

Prayer Requests
  • With Hogs for Haiti less than two weeks away, we have even more riders signing up to join us for part of the trip.  Please pray for safety as well as our ability to raise money and awareness for the work in Grand Goave. You can follow the ride and pray for the trip on Facebook.

  • Pray for an additional $1500 of support needed to offset the cost for meals during the Christian Church Convention in Haiti.  If you or your church would like to help with this urgent need, contact Andy@Lifeline.org  for more details.

  • The first leadership seminar of the fall will be in El Salvador next month.  Prayer for the team of U.S. leaders who will be teaching and for the pastors of El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala who will be participating.

  • Pray for family of Bob Cronin, who recently passed away.  His fingerprints of love have been left on the child they sponsor in Haiti.
