In 1995, in a small wooden building, Lifeline’s Christian School began in Colony Ocotillo, San Pedro Sula, Honduras, with sixty children in the first grade. Within approximately a year, the government of Honduras gave Lifeline the current land that is the site of the Ocotillo ministry, which is customary when a new community is established. Their mandate was for this land to be used for the general public’s advancement and their desire was for a school, clinic, and other services. Today on this property, Lifeline’s Christian School serves about 450 children, grades kindergarten/preschool through twelfth grade; a medical and dental clinic; and a church. In our school, the teachers and students pray and Bible classes are held daily for all grades.
On December 4, 2015, Lifeline’s Christian school in Honduras will host their first graduating class of 17 students from the twelfth grade! (pictured above)
We are thanking the Lord for His faithfulness and provision to provide the school to serve the children in this community. And we are thankful to you, for supporting the children and ministry through your prayers and giving! Today, these young people know and love God and have dreams for the future!
|
We invite you to join in this celebration!
|
First, pray for these young people as they seek the Lord’s guidance for the next phase of their lives.
Secondly, we are looking for donations of $75 per student to honor these graduating seniors with a celebration day and a Bible. Simply contact Lovelink@Lifeline.org if you could assist.
Finally, Lifeline is offering a Scholarship Program for these 17 students and is seeking donors to sponsor a student. These young people have come so far and overcame many problems associated with their society and poverty, so we want to help them go beyond high school. For more information contact Lovelink@Lifeline.org.
Thank you for praying and supporting

Haiti
- The men’s work team worked side-by-side with the Haitians to install a quarter mile long pipeline to get fresh water to the Laregal Christian School! This will be such a blessing to the school and community. Thanks for all of the hard work! (see photos below)

Honduras
- Recently, the young ladies of the Omoa Children’s Home were involved in Children’s Day (a national holiday in Honduras) activities with four of our Christian churches; read more in our new “Corazon a Corazon” newsletter! Thanks to our wonderful Children’s Home Directors, Carlos and Patty Cojon, these girls are being discipled and trained to reach out to the children just like Jesus did. Their hearts are growing with the love of God because of the example set before them. We are very proud of our young ladies!
- The children are being blessed and growing in the Lord! Check out the latest news from Honduras, including details about sponsors viewing their gift photos!

Sponsors, it’s time to send in gifts to your sponsored child for the October gift deadline! Here are a few helpful reminders:
- Need some gift ideas? We have numerous gift suggestions available.
- Don’t forget that you can purchase items through Lifeline, such as Bibles, soccer balls, food bags, and more.
- When you are mailing your package, remember to condense & reduce packaging and include your $7 processing fee. Be sure to check out all the details on packaging & mailing your gift and watch the video below!

And remember: gifts don’t have to be extravagant…
These are tokens of love to let your sponsored child know that you are thinking of them. It’s the relationship that you are establishing with your child that makes all of the difference. They know they are thought of, prayed for, encouraged and loved when they receive a note, a picture, a gift.

These young men (below) are students at Lifeline’s Christian Schools in Honduras & Haiti, and are all celebrating birthdays in October! Please join us in wishing them a Happy Birthday! There would be no greater gift for these boys on their birthdays than to receive the news that they have a new sponsor!
What is a sponsor? Someone who will love, pray for, and encourage them, while supporting their education through our schools.
You may already sponsor a child or unable to sponsor one right now, but you can advocate for these children by inviting a friend, family member, or co-worker to consider opening their heart to sponsor one of these young men.
Learn more about about becoming a sponsor at www.Lifeline.org/Sponsor or click on the student below to provide the best birthday gift ever…a relationship!
