Introducing Ben...
Introducing Lifeline’s new President & CEO
Dear Reggie,

As mentioned in our previous email, Bob & Gretchen DeVoe, Lifeline’s Founders, are transitioning from their current roles as President & CEO and Vice President & Chief Ministry Officer.  Their transition has been planned for several years with the final steps in this process being implemented these past few months.

As Lifeline’s Board of Directors,
we are excited to announce our unanimous decision to hire
Ben Simms as the next President & CEO
of Lifeline Christian Mission,
effective January 1, 2016.

Since experiencing his first mission trip 21 years ago with Lifeline, Ben has been highly involved with Lifeline in various capacities: leading mission groups, volunteering, creating the first peanut butter drive, and various staff roles, while currently serving as the Treasurer of Lifeline’s Board and the President of Lifeline-Canada Board of Directors.  His passion for Lifeline’s ministries has been unwavering.

Due to this involvement and passion, the Board approached Ben to accept the position of Lifeline’s President & CEO.  In addition, Ben brings a unique blend of experiences through church ministry, church extension fund work, and involvement in non-profit boards, along with his strong financial and business background.   Ben currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Development at The Solomon Foundation and Doug Crozier, President & CEO of The Solomon Foundation, shares “All of us at The Solomon Foundation are excited for Ben and Lifeline.  We know Ben’s passion for Lifeline and missions.  We look forward to our continued ministry partnership and, with Ben at the helm, we know there will be exciting days ahead!

Ben is highly qualified to lead Lifeline, and we are excited for the future of Lifeline under Ben’s leadership!

The Board of Directors are thankful for Bob & Gretchen’s leadership and faithful service these past 35 years.  They are assuming new roles within Lifeline and will continue to be valuable contributors to the advancement of the ministry.

Thank you for your prayers during this process.  We value you and your role in Lifeline’s ministry, and are thankful for your faithful partnership and for your continued future partnership. Please pray for Ben as he transitions to this new role, the board as we lead Lifeline, for Bob & Gretchen as they move into new roles within Lifeline,  and for Lifeline’s bright future of sharing the hope and love of Jesus Christ throughout the world!.

In Christ together,
Mark StierChairman of the Board
