Anthony Returns

To

Central Philippine Bible College

A number of people who have helped Anthony wonder how he is doing now.  We are so thankful for those who provided prayer and financial support for him at the loss of his father by a rebel shooter in Mindanao.

His family was forced to move to another area of the large island to avoid additional attacks and he was sent back to Cebu and stayed in the Central Philippine Bible College for the summer working on the new campus by building cement blocks.  It was thought he would be safer there than at home as other members of his family were targeted by rebels.  He got back just before the end of the second term and he and Jay-Ar spent extra time together going door to door in evangelism around the new but rustic campus.  There is a college church on campus and they were introducing people to this church and to the Lord.  They made a good team together as Anthony has memorized over 350 scripture passages and continues to add to his memory list.  Jay-Ar then had to leave for his mentorship program and now Anthony is well into his third year of Bible College.  He is very committed to becoming a Preacher and of course still needs some financial help as he only received a very small amount of financial credit for his summer work on campus.  He is also very thankful of the way people have prayed for him and also the way so many of you have helped him.  If you would like to help him with his college expenses please send your gift to our forwarding agent.  Any gift is a great blessing.

Carol and I are doing fine and appreciate the cooler weather and of course the rain we have been having of late.  We have had to make a number of trips into the city for dental work for Darryl and also to get some things done for the mission including immigration and license formalities. We make many of these trips by local bus to cut down on expenses.  Darryl has two flexible dentures that are helping him eat better.  Most of his crowns are coming out and so he replaces the teeth with new ones on his dentures as they fall off.  Carol is busy with a lot of the busy things of life in the Philippines and although we miss our children and grandchildren we find our little dachshunds a real blessing and comfort.  Jay-Ar is now in Kalibo helping the church with the new mentoring program of outreach Bible Studies for a couple of months.  He is also helping Rey the local preacher with a new program of reaching out to high schools with a Bible Study for youth.  They are now in three high schools and are having a good affect.  The school leaders are happy for them to come and it is hoped that more doors will be open for Bible Studies into the homes of the students there.

Thank you again for all your prayers and financial help. We are pleased with the support we have received through the summer months as we know money is tight all around.  Please continue to pray for us and for those we work with.  The times are fairly dangerous at present with some stands the new President of the Philippines is taking against the 3.7 million drug takers and pushers in the Philippines so all of us must use extra care and vigilance as we travel about under these conditions. He has declared the Philippines in a “State of Lawlessness” and we continue to depend on the Lord and your prayers for our safety and care as we travel about reaching out for Jesus!

Looking forward to a great Harvest of Souls,

Darryl & Carol Krause
