Dear Friend,

2017 has started out with much excitement and many blessings to date! In the first 31 days we have had 3 different mission teams serve with #KORE and stay in our new guesthouse, The Coop!

A SWEET START TO 2017

The first to ring in the new year with KORE was a family from Bible Christian Church in Garden City, KS. The team spent time with children in our 6.25 program playing games, making crafts & Christmas cookies. The children were thrilled and especially enjoyed the frosting and sprinkles!

Additionally, the BCC team installed solar lights in 3 of our partner orphanages. These lights were purchased with funds raised from a 6 year old girl from Christ’s Church Camden, Emma Kolb. Emma wanted to bring light to children in Haiti, so she requested donations for her birthday to purchase these light systems.

The fun didn’t stop there! Students from UT Knoxville, Auburn, Xavier,Wesleyan & University of Dayton spent their Winter Break serving with KORE, playing games & performing child evaluations on children at an orphanage in our 6.25 program. The college students also enjoyed a beautiful morning hike, visiting our farmers & fresh caught lobster on the beach!

MEET OUR GUESTHOUSE COORDINATORS

We are pleased to introduce to you Tom & Yvette Kinman! The Kinmans are our new guesthouse coordinators, #TheCoopKeepers! Kore is thrilled ot have them on board & we invite everyone to visit them at The Coop!

A group from Hendersonville FUMC was the first to help the Kinmans get settled in! Aside from breaking in Tom & Yvette, these men built more bunkbeds for our guesthouse, made repairs to some of our partner orphanages & visited our farmers and children in 6.25.

2017 MISSION TRIPS

We hope to accomplish much more in 2017 and we want YOU to be a part of our journey! There is still availability to join or start your own mission trip, but 2017 dates are filling up fast. And it’s not too early to plan for 2018! Please check our website to join an existing trip or email: trips@korefoundation.org for information on starting your own.
