Whether you are glad to see 2014 go with its trouble and are hoping for the arrival of better things in 2015, or you look back on 2014 with a heart filled with joy and gratitude, we have no choice but move on for the clock continues to tick!   We who Jesus can do so with confidence, “The Lord is [our] Shepherd …”

2014 required Dennis to spend more than five months in the US … far longer than he had expected. The Lord helped him find enjoyable and, hopefully eternally significant, things to do during his unintended stay.  He is blessed to return to Ambon with documentation that promises to make his movement between the US and Indonesia hassle free and subject to plans.

Looking back on ministry in Ambon, 2014 has not yet borne the fruit we dream of.   Three things stand out in our minds: FAST START (the bi-lingual pre-school led by our daughter, Behtany) has gained a more solid footing; plans promsing to bring Speedy and family to Ambon for long term ministry have been laid; and efforts have been undertaken to reach what was an Unengaged Unreached People Group.

With the Lord’s help we trust 2015 will see:  (1) a Kingdom business firimly established which will open the door for Speedy and family to have a long-term, and eventually a self-sustaining, ministry among pre-believers in Ambon. (2) An implemented plan for the expansion and development of FAST-START, serving Ambon’s varied religious communities. (3) A solid foundation for a Disciple-Making-Movement in Ambon and beyond will be laid. (4)  A plan for the province-wide development of YAM (Indonesian acronym for Foundation for Maluku’s Children). (5) Prayer to be the ultimate strategy for any and all ministry efforts.

Until all Clearly Hear,
