Thank you for your prayerful partnership! Here’s a bit of an update.
Fast Start Pre-K and Kindergarten.
Praise the Lord the concert of crying from 3-, 4- and 5-year olds who have never been away from their parents has dissipated.
125 kids in and out, passing through the convenience store into the playground at the back and up to the second and third floors, along with parents, guardians, and grandparents to wait through the session for dismissal can keep the building buzzing. Fortunately it also generates some business for the store which will be one means of supporting outreach activity.
The teachers are working hard! The principal and English Teacher, Bethany, has an especially heavy load which she carries with joy. Ask the Lord to give her extra strength and wisdom, especially as Lynn will not be there to help with the English teaching from August 23rd until November 12th.
Ask the Lord to help all staff members to see this work as an opportunity to serve, not merely as a job.
Fast Start English Course.
A curriculum has been purchased; a lead local teacher has been employed. 15 students are already studying. Pray especially for our team member Welly as she interacts with the pre-believing teacher we have employed. Pray that we will have impact on the lives of students and their families. Ask the Lord’s favor on the course so that it can help generate funds to advance outreach efforts.
Operation Opportunity (or OKe).
English classes and reading rooms have been hindered a bit by the non-stop rains, but eager students are still gathering. Join us in prayer for divine opportunities to serve the parents of the students in ways that will be eternally significant.
Bible College.
Dennis is teaching basic bible doctrine to the 35 students of the Bible College who campus program began 29 years ago in Dennis and Lynn’s village home. Pray for there to me more than just an academic exchange.
Sizemore Center.
Only (?) about $425,000 more is required to build the Sizemore Center. Ask God’s blessing up all who are participating in this. 50% of the frndly loan has been paid. May God bless all.4
To USA.
Dennis and Lynn plan to be in the USA from 24 August through 8 November. The major focus of their trip will be a month long school of missions in Washington, Oregon, Montana and Idaho. Pray that God will use them to call more to commitment to Great Commission missions.
