News for Prayer and Praise from
Dennis and Lynn Free in Indonesia

For almost two years a very valuable ministry couple have been side-lined in their homeland.  You may recall that opposition arose because of the fruit the Gospel was bearing in their area forcing them to flee.   They, we and their sponsors have been praying for the best time and way to determine if they are able to return to ministry in this nation even though it will likely have to be in outside their former province.  I have just written an invitation letter for the husband to return next month in an effort to determine (1) are they permanently blacklisted by immigration; (2) to locate where God will use their gifts to bless the “Bee” people.  If history is any indication, we expect scenes like to one above to be repeated wherever God allows them to serve.  Your prayers are crucial over the next several weeks.  Let’s ask God’s favor so that these fruitful workers can once again bless the “Bee” people of this great nation!

Recently you could find us on the streets of Ambon, hawking goods!   Why in the world?   We have two products that attract attention:  batik clothing from Java and Jew’s Ear mushrooms.   The Batik was purchased through workers at the Bible College and blessed their ministry.  The mushrooms (a favorite in Chinese recipes, reported to be full of vitamins and minerals good for one’s health) were grown in a project by a ministry partner to bless victims of a volcanic eruption.   These products cause people to stop by our makeshift stand (out of the back of our car).  We then try to introduce them to D.Light solar lamps and Nazava water purifies, giving them literature where we can be contacted for delivery.  The plan is to get sales people/evangelists into homes to deliver products, establish relationships and share the good news.  Profits from the sales help support the ministry of the workers and open the door for Kingdom promotion.   Pray for the right contacts at the right time.   We are also distributing literature to believers calling them to concentrated prayer for revival in Ambon.  Through this we hope to locate people with a burden for the salvation of our city.  These street vendors would appreciate your prayers.

Please pray with Al for his aunt who is suffering lung cancer and for several contacts who are listening to the good news in Rabbit County.  Pray for his ministry partner, Dale, who will end his 47+ years of singleness in mid-April.  Pray for his new bride’s adjustment to life in Rabbit County.

Abel is excited that he, over the next several months, will welcome a few new ministry partners to Pleasant Port.  Pray for the fruitfulness of the local converts he is training.

Ya’ll come! We are asking God to send English speakers who love Jesus and care for  people (especially lost people) to help us make contacts throughout the city of Ambon.   You could help with the pre-school programs,  English classes, communication sessions   at the American Corner at a local University, prayer walking, and through friendship.   Air fare is about $1800 (return).  Visa would be $25-50.   Living costs less than $30/day.    Come for a week, or better for a month, or three  … or a few years.  Great experience for College Students and a meaningful retirement activity for Seniors.   Contact us if you are interested.  We can give you plenty of meaningful things to do while you learn about and contribute to pioneer evangelism and church planting.   You can have an impact for the Gospel in the islands that Columbus never reached!
