Come See Us at ICOM This Week!
We are so excited to participate in this year’s International Conference on Missions!
Every year, thousands of individuals from churches, missions, nonprofit organizations, and universities from around the world gather together for a weekend of networking, teaching, and vision-casting. IDES has been a long-time participant and supporter of ICOM, and we are thrilled to continue being there.
ICOM exists to, “Encourage, Equip and Enlist workers for the Harvest.” This year’s theme is “MOBILIZE: Disciples Making Disciples.” There will be four staff members representing IDES at Booth #1302 in the main exhibition hall, just look for our large banner (below). We’d love to talk to you!

#GivingTuesday is Almost Here!
Join together with thousands of other generous individuals just like you to make a difference this holiday season. On Tuesday, November 29th, 2016, IDES will be participating in #GivingTuesday along with many other nonprofit organizations around the world.
It is our goal to show the world that IDES’ faithful supporters choose to be generous instead of just being among the crowds of consumers in the days immediately following Thanksgiving. Please consider making a gift to IDES this #GivingTuesday, and spread the word to your friends and family on social media! Use these two hashtags: #IDES and #GivingTuesday. Feel free to download and re-post the graphic above, or use any of the others you find on our social profiles!

Nov. 3 – Drilling Wells, Stirring Hearts: Ethiopia – Project Story
Each morning, most of us wake up, take a shower, brush our teeth, wash our hands, cook breakfast, and brew coffee or tea. All of these activities have one thing in common: water–a basic resource that we all-too-often take for granted. In a country like Ethiopia, water that’s clean enough to bath in, to use for cooking, or to drink is very difficult to come by. Read more by clicking the photo above.
