Missionary Updates
Harland Carey, Founder of Colegio Biblico Passed Away Sept. 10th Brother Harland Carey passed away in September. Mr Carey founded the Colegio Biblico in Eagle Pass, Texas. Brother Carey spent many years ministering to the Hispanic churches in Mexico and training young men and women for ministry among Spanish speaking peoples. Students have attended Colegio Biblico from all over the Spanish speaking world to be trained for ministry. Harland Carey was honored last year at the 2013 International Conference On Missions in Kansas City, MO. He also served as President of the National Missionary Convention in 1968 in San Antonio, TX. Our prayers are with the family members. Marcia Kay Thomson, 50 year Veteran Missionary to Zimbabwe Passed Away Sept. 21st. Marcia’s first steps in Africa were at Mashoko Mission, where she went after finishing Bible College at Ozark. She worked as a secretary for John C. Pemberton, and moved from Mashoko to Chiredzi in the early sixties when the family re-located to open up a work there. From Chiredzi, she moved on to Masvingo and Harare (Ft. Victoria and Salisbury at the time!), and then settled in these last years back in Masvingo. Marcia was ALWAYS there. She had a knack for just being available – especially during hard times. Marcia had been combating cancer for the past several months, which kept her from coming back to the USA last year. She was loved by many people, from literally around the world.

3 Exhibit Spaces Left! If you have not secured your space left, you better hurry. We are 6 weeks away from ICOM in Columbus! 212 Churches have Registered their whole church family, how about you? That’s right, 212, and we are 6 weeks away. Why is this a good idea?
- Your whole church family can attend with no entry fee. It is much more economical and removes the sting of the finances that might keep someone from attending.
- It pays for all your children, BUT not the teens. Due to the inherent costs associated with the service projects and other special programming for SICOM, it necessitates a separate charge for this program.
- It helps ICOM!. More than 16% of the income of support for ICOM comes from churches all over the country who merely want to be represented by registering for ICOM. Thank you!
Go online today and register your church family! |
