Great Time of Year!

I love this time of year.  I see pictures of interns and folks going to missions all over the world for the summer or various lengths of service.  Graduations are taking place on many levels.  I was able to attend the graduate service at Cincinnati Christian University, and to hear about the destinations of where these folks are going.  It’s pretty exciting!  These young folks will carry on the message that generations have carried on before them. 
                 You may not realize it, but this Sunday is Pentecost, the birthday of the Church.  I am elder of the week at Hazelwood this week and I get to share the fact that some 1,985 years ago, the Church was born.  That’s so exciting to me!  We don’t talk about that kind of legacy much anymore.  We are so blessed to be part of the service of God’s chosen institution to proclaim the good news of Jesus, the Christ, the Son of the living God!

  • If you are leading a workshop and you have not turned in your information, please do so as soon as you can.  We have a full slate, we are just waiting on the information to come in! Please email Emily at emily@theicom.org to send in your workshop information!
  • 67 churches have registered their church families so far this year for Columbus.  We are a few behind last year’s pace that almost broke our record of 286 churches in 2006 for Indianapolis.  Last year there were 276 churches.
