Hippo Valley Christian Mission – May 2015 – Run/Walk/Crawl with a Purpose!
The Gutu Mission Station
Run/Walk/Crawl With a Purpose!
This year’s Gutu Run will be here before you know it, and we are so excited!
As you may know, the Gutu Mission Project is all about the construction of a school in Gutu, Zimbabwe. Normally, any child in Gutu who goes to school has to walk around 6 miles to get there, not to mention the 6 miles they must trek back home in the harsh heat. With the construction of this school, we hope to provide a closer means of education, which will ultimately yield a higher number of children in attendance. In addition, this school will also serve as a church—a much-needed addition to this area that is lacking in Christian influence. In the future we envision this site becoming the Gutu Mission Station, with hopes for a fully-functioning medical clinic to help serve the people’s health needs as well.
A group of us here at Hippo Valley are running together in the 2015 Indianapolis Marathon/Half Marathon to raise awareness and funds for the Gutu Mission Station Project! We would LOVE for you to join us this year! Click below for details and registration.

So far we have raised just over $20,000, but we need $50,000 before construction can begin. We need your help in making this dream come true! Even if you are not interested in running, please consider sponsoring someone who is running.
