Thank God:
· That the ministers and church leaders retreat that Mike attended last week went well. Give thanks that local men and women are stepping into responsibilities that Mike previously held.
· For all that Eunice learned while attending the Creative Phonics course.
· For His gracious and loving provision for us in so many ways!
· For bringing about the resolution of a very difficult issue relating to the translation of “false gods” in the Mbore New Testament.
Please Pray:
· For Eunice as she ties up loose ends here and makes final preparations for her upcoming trip to the U.S. Pray for fruitful communication about a number of outstanding schedule details. Pray for safe and uneventful travel. Pray for quick adjustment to U.S. time (15 hours difference for her few days in Indiana, 16 hours once she gets to Texas) and temperatures.
· For Mike as he participates in meetings this week with representatives of two language groups where PBT has offered to facilitate Bible translation and related work.
· For the Akukem translation team. They are scheduled to meet later this week to discuss how to get the translation work started again. Pray that the meeting will take place and that a spirit of humility and unity will prevail as they discuss some difficult topics.
· For Justin and Thomas as they leave Madang Tuesday to visit the four Mbore schools that have used our Elementary Prep curriculum this year. Pray that their visits will encourage the teachers. Pray that they will be able to obtain helpful feedback from the teachers so we can identify sections that need revision.
· For Martha and the Mbore team as they continue reading through their New Testament one last time to make sure it is ready to be published.
