Thank God:

·      For enabling Mike to finish the initial stage of the program he is writing for converting our team’s finance records to new software.

·      For enabling Eunice to devote large blocks of time to her work on PBT’s The Latest Word magazine.

·      For enabling both of us to accomplish several other important tasks this past week.

·      For the Scripture Use course that our teammates Kevin, Erin, and Jim led for students at a remote Bible school this past week and for their safe return to town Sunday.

Please Pray:

·      That God will lead the church we attend here in Madang to significant involvement in Bible translation. We have been asked to meet with their equivalent of a mission team Tuesday evening. Pray for our wisdom as we prepare and as we meet. Pray for an opportunity to lay before them specific ways they can become directly involved.

·      For Mike, our finance team, and visitors Clint and John as they work to convert our finance system to new software. Pray for clear communication. Pray that computers and software will cooperate. Pray for ability to quickly resolve whatever difficulties arise.

·      For Eunice to finish well her part in this current round of writing and editing for PBT’s The Latest Word magazine.

·      For endurance for Mike, who has a longer-than-usual “to do” list for the next several weeks.

·      That plans will come together for our upcoming trip to the U.S. Mike needs to attend several PBT meetings in Dallas in June. From a security perspective it is not wise for Eunice to be alone during his lengthy absence. As we prayerfully considered options, including how she could use her time in Dallas, we concluded that it would be best for both of us to come.

·      For Mike’s time with Akukem translator Leo, as they discuss the implementation of recent decisions for changes to the Akukem spelling system. Pray that Leo will be able to make it into town soon so that they can have this important conversation.
